Wonderla Amusement Park
Wonderla Hyderabad, off the Outer Ring Road at Raviryal, is a full day out with high-thrill rides, a water park, family rides and plenty of places to eat. This page focuses on what happens inside the park: the rides not to miss, where to eat, the dress code for water rides and the safety tips that make the day smoother. For timings, tickets and directions, see our Wonderla Hyderabad visitor guide.
Rides not to miss
High-thrill rides
- Recoil: India's first reverse looping roller coaster, launched in 2018. The train rushes through loops forward and then backward.
- Equinox: a big swinging and spinning ride for people who like fast, crazy movement.
- Maverick, Techno Jump, Twin Flip T-Rex and Space Jam: more spin, drop and flip rides for teenagers and adults.
Water rides
- A large wave pool and rain dance area for all ages.
- Steep slides such as Vertical Fall and Wavy Fall for thrill seekers.
- Family slides and splash zones for mixed groups.
Family and kids' rides
- Mission Interstellar, an indoor space-themed ride that suits the whole family.
- A big wheel, bumper cars and gentle coasters.
- A kids' zone with small rides and play areas for young children.
Rides sometimes close for maintenance. The list of closed rides for the day is shown near the ticket counter.
Plan rides by age group
| Group | Start with | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Young children | Kids' zone and small rides | Wave pool shallow end, Mission Interstellar, big wheel |
| Teenagers | Recoil and Equinox before queues grow | Steep water slides after noon |
| Adults and parents | Family coasters and bumper cars | Wave pool and rain dance with the children |
| Elderly visitors | Mission Interstellar and gentle rides | Shaded seating near the wave pool and restaurants |
Most big rides have minimum and maximum height limits, which are shown at the entrance of each ride. Check them before you join the line so children are not turned away at the front.
Where to eat inside the park
Outside food is not allowed, but the park has several places to eat:
- Park View: South Indian breakfast items and light meals.
- Chillies: meals and quick bites a short walk from the entrance.
- Waves: multi-cuisine food, biryani and kebabs, with a view of the wave pool.
- Galaxy: an air-conditioned restaurant near Mission Interstellar.
- Food court: pizzas, burgers and street food.
Eat around noon, before the lunch rush, and avoid a heavy meal right before the big rides. Keep a water bottle with you through the afternoon.
Dress code for water rides
- Only nylon or other fully synthetic swimwear is allowed on water rides, for safety and to keep the water clean.
- Sarees, chudidars, pyjamas, dupattas, burqas, formal clothes, denim and other long or loose clothes are not allowed on the rides.
- If you do not have suitable clothes, you can buy them near the changing rooms. Prices have started at around Rs. 150.
Safety tips
- Wear sunglasses and sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher, and drink water often.
- Teach young children how to reach you or find staff if they get lost.
- Stay in line and follow the queue rules at every ride.
- The pools are shallow. Do not dive.
- Pregnant women, heart patients, people with high blood pressure or epilepsy and those who have had recent surgery should skip fast and high-thrill rides.
- Always follow the lifeguards, ride operators and the signs at each ride.
Lockers, changing rooms and valuables
The park has lockers near the entrance and near the water park, along with separate changing rooms and showers for men and women. Rent a locker as soon as you enter and keep phones, wallets, watches and dry clothes inside. Phones and loose items are not allowed on most rides, and staff will ask you to leave them outside the ride. A small waterproof pouch for the locker key and a little cash is handy in the water park. Leave gold jewellery at home, as it can slip off on slides and in the wave pool.
Useful services

- Wheelchairs and prams: available on request; you can also bring your own.
