Theme parks
Ramoji Film City
This is one of the largest film studio complexes in the world, spread over a huge campus on the Vijayawada highway. A day ticket covers studio tours, film sets, live shows, gardens and rides for children. Plan a full day. GoldBox Holidays offers a Ramoji Film City tour with pick-up from the city.
Wonderla Amusement Park
Wonderla sits near the Outer Ring Road on the Srisailam highway side. It has high-thrill rides, family rides and a large water section with wave pools and slides. Weekdays are less crowded. Read our Wonderla Hyderabad guide for tickets and tips.
Mount Opera
Mount Opera is a theme park and resort on a hill close to Ramoji Film City. It has dry rides, a water zone and rooms for an overnight stay. Many groups combine it with a Ramoji visit.
Water parks
Water parks are busiest from March to June. Carry swimwear made of nylon or lycra, as most parks do not allow cotton clothes in the pools.
- Ocean Park, Gandipet: an older water and amusement park on the western edge of the city, with slides, a wave pool and kids' rides.
- Wild Waters: a large water and dry-ride park on the Shankarpally side of the city.
- Escape Water Park: slides and pools for families and friends' groups.
- Leo Splash: a water park attached to a resort on the city outskirts.
- Maharaja Water Park and Bliss Aqua World: smaller water parks listed in older guides; check they are open before planning.

Snow park
Snow World
Snow World is an indoor hall kept below zero, with real snow, a snow slide, igloo, snow play area and a snowfall show during each session. Jackets, gloves and boots are given at the entry. Each session lasts about an hour, so it fits easily into a city day. See Snow World timings and details.
City parks with rides and boating
- Lumbini Park: a small park on the edge of Hussain Sagar, run with Telangana Tourism boating. Boats go out to the Buddha statue in the lake, and the evening laser show is popular.
- Kiddie Park and Dinosaur Park: small parks with simple rides for young children.
- Bandi Gardens and Bhagyanagar Nandanavanam Deer Park: green spaces for a quiet family outing.
- Lotus Pond: a pond park with walking paths in Banjara Hills.
Go-karting, trampolines and adventure
- Runway 9 and OKOS Gokarting: go-kart tracks for teenagers and adults.
- Sky Zone and District Gravity: indoor trampoline and activity zones.
Indoor play zones for small children
These are mostly inside malls or commercial buildings and suit children under 10. Names from older lists include Plabo, Kinderland, Buzz Kids, Elles World, Kids Arena, Krazi Chiks, Junglee Masti, Wonder Fun Park, 1 World Discovery Center and AV Arena. Such venues open and close often, so call before you go.
Resorts and event grounds
Summer Green Resorts and Ananya Eco Resorts offer day outings with play areas, pools or lawns. Miyapur Exhibition Grounds and the Hyderabad Events Industry Park host seasonal fairs and events rather than daily rides.
Tips for a park day
- Go on a weekday if you can. Weekend queues are long.
- Reach at opening time to use the cooler morning hours.
- Carry sunscreen, a cap, a spare set of clothes and a water bottle.
