The Punya Kshetra Yatra with Gaya-Kashi-Ayodhya-Prayagraj is a 9-day, 8-night Bharat Gaurav tourist train tour that starts from Secunderabad and visits four holy cities of north India. It is designed for devotees, retired couples and family groups from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh who want one organised pilgrimage by rail.

Route and travel

The special train leaves Secunderabad and picks up passengers at many stations along the way, including Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru and Rajahmundry. It then runs north through the night and most of the next day towards Bihar. Gaya is reached after about two days on the train. From there the group moves on to Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj, with road transfers and hotel stays at each stop, before the train brings everyone back south. Expect several nights on board, so pack for train life.
