Malaysia Tour Packages cover a South-East Asian country of modern cities, rainforest, cool hill resorts and island beaches. Kuala Lumpur, the capital, is the usual starting point. Many Indian travellers feel at home there, thanks to the large Tamil community, its temples and South Indian food. For now, Indian passport holders can enter Malaysia without a visa for up to 30 days, under an exemption that runs until 31 December 2026. GoldBox Holidays has no Malaysia package online yet, and new trips will appear on this page soon.

Popular Malaysia Tour Packages

Our Malaysia trips are still being prepared. Meanwhile, you may like our Singapore Tour Packages, as Singapore pairs very well with Malaysia. Our Thailand-Bangkok-Pattaya Tour Packages and Bali Tour Packages pages cover two more short-haul options.

Places you will visit

  • Kuala Lumpur - the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower, Merdeka Square and the Brickfields area, known as Little India.
  • Batu Caves - a limestone hill just outside the city, with a giant golden Murugan statue and a long flight of steps to a cave temple.
  • Genting Highlands - about an hour's drive from the capital, with a long cable car, cool weather and theme parks.
  • Malacca - a historic port town with old Dutch and Portuguese buildings and a river walk.
  • Langkawi and Penang - islands known for beaches, a sky bridge and cable car, and famous street food.

Best time to go

Malaysia is warm and humid all year, with short tropical showers. On the west coast, including Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, December to March is usually drier. The east coast gets heavy monsoon rain from about November to February. Thaipusam at Batu Caves, in January or February, draws huge crowds of devotees. Flights from India fill up during the May and June school holidays.

How to choose the right package

Five days covers Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves and Genting. Add two or three days for Langkawi or Penang, or for Singapore. Families often enjoy Genting and its theme parks, while couples may prefer the quieter beaches of Langkawi. Elders should note the 272 steps at Batu Caves; the view from the base is also worthwhile. Before you fly, fill in the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online and carry your return ticket and hotel booking. Make sure your passport has six months of validity left.

Frequently asked questions

Do Indians need a visa for Malaysia?

Not for short tourist trips until 31 December 2026, under the current visa exemption. Check the rule again close to your travel date, especially for trips in 2027.

Can I combine Malaysia and Singapore?

Yes. The two countries are linked by road, rail and short flights, so a joint trip of seven to eight days works well.

Is vegetarian food easy to find?

Yes, especially in Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur, near Hindu temples and in Penang's Little India.
