Delhi-Agra-Mathura Vrindavan Tour Packages from GoldBox Holidays join India's capital, the Taj Mahal city and the two holy towns of Lord Krishna's childhood. Delhi has Mughal forts and tombs, national memorials and large modern temples. Agra has the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Mathura is honoured as Krishna's birthplace, and Vrindavan, about 12 to 15 km away, is where he spent his early years. The four places lie along one highway corridor. GoldBox Holidays offers one-day trips from Delhi by AC bus, hop-on hop-off (HOHO) bus and private car, plus six and eight-day train tours from Hyderabad.

Places you will visit
Delhi tours cover the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, the Lotus Temple and Akshardham. In Agra, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Mathura's main shrine is the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple, built at the place believed to be his birthplace. In Vrindavan, pilgrims crowd into the small Banke Bihari temple and visit the white marble Prem Mandir, which is lit up in colours after sunset, and the ISKCON temple. The Golden Triangle tour also visits Jaipur's Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and City Palace.
Best time to go
October to March is the best period. December and January are cold, and dense fog can delay trains and hide the Taj early in the morning. April to June is very hot, often above 40 degrees C. Holi and Janmashtami are the biggest events in Mathura and Vrindavan, with huge crowds and colour. Delhi's air quality is often poor in November and December.
How to choose the right package
The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so avoid that day for any Agra trip. Agra is about 230 km from Delhi by the Yamuna Expressway, or three to four hours each way. Adding Mathura and Vrindavan makes a very long day, so start early. Pick the car tour for families and elders, and the AC bus to save money. Choose a HOHO bus if you want more time at selected stops. From Hyderabad, the train tours take care of the long journey. For more pilgrim trips in the north, see our Kashi-Varanasi-Prayagraj-Ayodhya Tour Packages.
