The Madurai to Rameshwaram One Day Tour Package by Car is a private day trip that starts from your chosen point in Madurai at about 6 AM and covers the island's temples, Dhanushkodi and the Kalam memorial. It suits families and small groups who want their own vehicle, an early start and flexible stops on a long day.

Route and travel

The car drives about 170 km east from Madurai, which takes around 3.5 to 4 hours each way. Near Mandapam you cross to Pamban island on the road bridge, with a good view of the new vertical-lift rail bridge that opened in 2025. On the island, the car takes you to the temple area, the Kalam sites and out to Dhanushkodi. The drop back in Madurai is expected between 9 and 10 PM.
