Route and travel

One version of the itinerary starts at the tourism reservation office in Basheerbagh at 9 AM; another says pickup from your boarding point after 8 AM. The first stop is the Jain temple at Kolanupaka, roughly 80 km from Hyderabad.

Yadagirigutta is about 25 km from Kolanupaka. After darshan the bus goes to Surendrapuri, close to the temple town, and heads back to Hyderabad, about 60 to 65 km, arriving at around 9 to 9:30 PM.

  • Kolanupaka Jain Temple - old Jain shrine with finely carved white marble interiors.
  • Lotus Temple - short stop at Yadagirigutta before the main darshan.

Tips for this trip

  • Leather belts and wallets are usually not allowed inside Jain temples; leave them in the bus at Kolanupaka.
