Make your mark at the grand feast of Ramoji film city
The Holiday Carnival is Ramoji Film City's summer festival. For about six weeks during school holidays, the studio stays open into the evening with a street parade, live dance shows, light displays and extra attractions for children. This guide covers when the carnival runs, what to expect, which ticket to choose and how to plan the day.
When is the Holiday Carnival
The carnival usually runs from late April to early June. In 2026 it ran for 46 days, from about 23 April to 7 June. Dates for 2027 are usually announced in March or April. During the carnival, programmes continue until about 9 PM, compared with the normal closing time of about 5:30 PM.
What you can see and do
- Carnival parade: decorated floats, costumed performers and music along the main streets in the evening.
- Live stage shows: dance and music performances near Eureka.
- Light displays: gardens and pathways lit with coloured lights after sunset.
- Musical Glow Garden: a themed garden with synchronised music and lights, added in recent seasons.
