Experience the Spectrum of Festive Fun

Diwali is the festival of lights, and Ramoji Film City takes that idea seriously. Each year the film city runs a festive season from Dussehra to Diwali, with the whole campus lit up, a carnival parade, holiday shows and longer opening hours. Diwali week is the last and brightest part of that season, and a lovely time for a family visit.

When are the Diwali celebrations

Ramoji's festive season usually lasts around 50 days. In 2025, it ran from late September to mid-November. In earlier years it started around 20 September and ran for 48 to 52 days. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026, so the 2026 festive season should run till mid-November. Ramoji announces the exact dates each year.

Diwali ticket options

During the festive season Ramoji sells "festive" versions of its day tickets, and premium options with extra privileges:

  • Festive Studio Tour: the regular day tour with festive shows, lights and the parade.
  • Festive Star Experience: adds an AC bus, express entry, buffet lunch and tea.
  • Stay packages: a night at a Ramoji hotel, so you can enjoy the evening lights without rushing home.

For reference, regular prices in September 2026 are Rs. 1,550 per adult for the weekday Studio Tour and Rs. 3,099 for the weekday Star Experience. Festive prices are announced each season. Book on our Ramoji Film City tour page.

What to enjoy at Ramoji during Diwali

1. Fun, festivity and cinema

The usual day programme runs with extra festive events. Take the guided tour of the film sets, try the rides and watch the stunt and live shows. Children can spend time at Fundustan and the Borasura walk-through, and the eco tour covers the bird park, butterfly park and bonsai garden. The Bahubali set is part of the tour. In some past years it opened for the festive season only from mid-October.

2. Carnival parade

The evening parade brings themed floats, a live band, stilt walkers, jugglers and jesters down the main avenue. It is loud, colourful and the highlight of the day for most children.

3. The lights

For Diwali, the gardens and avenues are covered in designer lights. Trees glow in blue and other colours, and fountains are lit up. Walk around after sunset for the best photos.

4. More time for fun

On normal days the park closes at 5:30 PM. During the festive season it stays open into the evening, till about 8 PM in earlier years. That leaves time for the lights and parade after a full day of the tour.

5. Food and privileges

Premium ticket holders get express entry to attractions and meals at the multi-cuisine restaurants. Guests with a hotel stay can arrive late and stay late.

Tips for a Diwali visit

  • Book early for the Diwali weekend. It is one of the busiest times of the year.
  • Plan to stay until dark. The lights are the reason to visit at Diwali.
  • Crackers and outside fireworks are not allowed inside the park.
  • Book a pickup bus or drive. City buses are few after dark.

The season begins with Dussehra; see Dussehra festival packages for the first half. If you want to stay the night, see Ramoji Film City stay packages. GoldBox Holidays also runs a one-day Hyderabad city tour if your family has an extra day during the holidays.
