Four Comfortable ways to reach Ramoji Film City
Secunderabad Railway Station is where most long-distance trains to Hyderabad arrive, and many visitors head from here straight to Ramoji Film City. The film city is on the Vijayawada highway on the eastern edge of the city, about 30 to 35 km from the station by road. The drive usually takes 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Here are the four practical ways to make the trip, with the pros and cons of each.

| Mode | Approx. time | Approx. cost | Best for |

| GoldBox Holidays bus | Direct | Included with tour | Hassle-free day trip |
1. By cab or taxi
Pre-paid taxis and app cabs are available outside the station. Enter Ramoji Film City as the drop point. App cabs have cost roughly Rs. 600 to Rs. 1,000 one way, and a taxi from the stand around Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,000. Fares rise at peak hours. Remember that you will need another cab for the return in the evening, so the round trip can cost double.
The usual route runs via Tarnaka or Malakpet to L.B. Nagar and then along the Vijayawada highway past Hayathnagar to the film city gate.
2. By city bus
TGSRTC city buses connect the Secunderabad station area with the film city. Routes in the 290 series and route 29B have been used for this trip. Buses to the film city run only a few times a day, so ask at the Secunderabad bus stand (Rathifile or Gurudwara side) for the next departure. Another option is any bus to L.B. Nagar or Dilsukhnagar, then a bus heading towards Hayathnagar or Vijayawada, which passes the film city gate. See all options in Ramoji Film City bus routes.
3. By metro and road
Secunderabad East metro station on the Blue Line is a short walk from the railway station. Take the Blue Line towards Nagole and ride to the end. From Nagole, the film city is roughly 22 km away by cab, auto or bus.
Another route is Secunderabad West (Green Line) to MG Bus Station, then the Red Line to L.B. Nagar, which is right on the Vijayawada highway. Check our Hyderabad Metro route map and metro ways to reach Ramoji Film City.
4. By your own vehicle
If you have your own car or bike, or rent a self-drive vehicle, follow the Vijayawada highway (NH 65) out of L.B. Nagar. The film city has parking near the main entrance. Start early to beat the morning traffic on the highway.
The easy way: GoldBox Holidays bus
Each of the options above means changing vehicles or paying for two cab rides. GoldBox Holidays runs a Ramoji Film City bus with 50+ boarding points, and Secunderabad station is one of them. The bus takes you straight to the film city and brings you back to the same point in the evening. You can book the entry ticket and the bus together on the Ramoji Film City tour page.
