Spectacular surprises for the smiling faces!
Ramoji Film City is one of the most popular school trip destinations in South India. Children see how films are made, walk through real movie sets, visit a bird park and butterfly park, and enjoy play zones and rides, all in one campus with good security and food. Ramoji offers special group packages for schools, with lunch and a guided tour, at lower rates than the regular ticket.
Why Ramoji works for a school trip
- Learning through fun: Movie Magic shows explain acting, dubbing, editing and special effects in simple terms.
- Nature and science: the Wings bird park has many kinds of birds, including swans, and the butterfly park and bonsai garden are good for a nature lesson.
- Safe, closed campus: one entry point, staff across the park and a tour bus between zones.
- Everything in one place: food, toilets, first aid and shows are all inside, which makes managing a large group easier.
Ramoji Film City was founded in 1996 by the late Ramoji Rao, a media owner and Telugu film producer. He wanted to build a film studio on the scale of the big Hollywood studios. The campus covers about 1,666 acres and is listed by Guinness World Records as the world's largest film studio complex.

School package price
School rates are for group bookings only and need advance booking with a letter from the school and student IDs. In an earlier season, the discounted school rate was Rs. 1500 per adult and Rs. 1400 per child, including lunch, against a regular price of Rs. 1,847 at that time. Regular prices have gone up since, so ask us for the current school rate. See other Ramoji offers and discounts as well.
Adventure add-on for older students
Students in higher classes can add Sahas adventure activities, such as the rope course, zip line and archery. These build confidence and teamwork. Ramoji asks participants to wear a T-shirt, track pants and sports shoes.
Planning tips for teachers
- Book at least two to three weeks ahead, more in the November to February peak season.
- Count students by height: those below 33 inches enter free, those between 33 and 54 inches pay the child rate, and taller students pay the adult rate.
- Arrange a bus that waits for the group. Our pickup buses can be booked for school groups.
- Split students into small groups, each with a teacher, and fix a meeting point.
- Ask students to wear school T-shirts or caps in one colour, so they are easy to spot.
- Carry a first-aid kit, a list of parent phone numbers and extra water.
