About Edupayala
The name comes from Telugu: Edu means seven and payalu means streams. Here the Manjira river splits into seven streams around the temple. The temple is said to date from the 12th century. A big jatara is held on Maha Shivaratri and Magha Amavasya, and it is counted among the largest jataras in Telangana after Sammakka Saralamma.
