About Gandikota
The fort was held at different times by the Kalyani Chalukyas, the Pemmasani Nayakas and the Golconda Sultanate. Inside the walls you can see the Madhavaraya Swamy temple, the Ranganatha Swamy temple, the Jamia Masjid and old granaries. Sunrise over the gorge is the main draw for many visitors.
