October to March is the best time. Dev Deepawali in November, when the ghats are lit with lamps, is a special time to visit.

How to reach Varanasi

Varanasi Junction and Banaras railway stations have trains from most cities. Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport is about 25 km from the city.
